As a member of the engineering team, you will gain a deep understanding of programmatic ad tech and be on the cutting edge of “ad tech 3.0”, developing large scale distributed systems with deep technical and mathematical challenges. The types of challenges that the team works on everyday include:
Large scale data analysis: Solving problems involving complex mathematical algorithms to optimize traffic consumption
High performance software: Writing optimized, low-latency software that routes high volumes of traffic between cloud-based and physical datacenter infrastructure
Traffic configuration and monitoring tools: Designing easy-to-use dashboards, alerts and analytics that enable traffic configuration

Our Engineering team seeks individuals passionate and disciplined about writing great software, and working together to tackle the challenges of the programmatic ad tech space. The team values developers that are enthusiastic about learning and sharing knowledge, view software development as a craft, and have an eye for typed functional programming.
The technology stack includes Scala, Scalaz, Finagle, LMAX Disruptor, OpenHFT Chronicle, Elasticsearch, Spark, Redis, Ansible, and Docker. You will help extend the platform by recommending the best open source tools for the job and open sourcing your efforts.
Expertise with at least two JVM languages (Scala, Java, Clojure, etc)
Experience building high-performance, distributed systems
Experience with ETL and machine learning ("big data" and analytics)
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
5-10 years of experience
