Description
We are looking for an exceptional data scientist who would like the challenge of
establishing a Data Science practice within a fast-paced, agile development
environment to take our device threat detection security platform to the next level.
You will have a great opportunity to solve very tough problems in the security space
while at the same time having a direct impact on the success of the organization.
You will work closely with our R&D team and security experts as well as software
engineers in analyzing our massive amount of data as well as defining any future
data capture requirements from our sensors deployed across our customer base.
You will also be working with the team in delivering customer facing visualizations
and analytics by applying machine learning and statistical methods and eventually
helping us move to the Artificial Intelligence domain.
Responsibilities
o Identify patterns in our data with the goal of solving customer
problems.
o Apply current and innovative problem solving techniques through
research and development and then work with our core Engineering
team in order to deliver those solutions to our customers
o Partner with our security experts to identify patterns as well as to
extend the information that we capture to enhance our Classification
engine and Threat Detection platform
o Represent the company at conferences sharing your findings.
Skills
o 5+ years experience dealing with large data sets in the security space
o Ph.D. or Masters in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or related
quantitative discipline
o Experience with machine learning, AI, applied statistics and
probability
o Ability to work independently and collaboratively in order to solve
problems and iterate on solutions. You can take an ill-defined
problem, identify plan to solve it by breaking down into smaller pieces
and then execute the plan and validate the results.
o Experience with Python, Java, Scala, and current big data tools
o Excellent communication skills
o The ideal candidate will have experience in applying big-data
techniques to solving security problems at scale, specifically in
anomaly detection, pattern recognition, behavior-based analysis, and
correlation.
